Conditions of Hire

GENERAL

  1. Your daily booking is 9am-6pm. Please advise if you need to extend this and we will do our best to accommodate – but cannot guarantee.
  2. We do not allow overnight stays in our beach huts. This is not covered in our licence agreement.
  3. We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
  4. There may be an occasion out of our control when we would have to move your booking date. In this instance we will offer you another date or the option of a refund.
  5. There may be an occasion when we would need to change your choice of beach hut. This would happen only in rare circumstances. As all our huts are similar, we do not offer refunds, but if your heart is set on a particular hut, we may be able to offer an alternative date.
  6. These Conditions of Hire are in addition to and should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions of Sale, shown below. By hiring a hut from us, you agree to be bound by both.

CANCELLATION BY YOU OR BY US

  1. We cannot refund if you are unable to make your booking (please see clause 10.4.8 in our Terms and Conditions of Sale), but we will endeavour to find another day for you during the same season, if available. This is not always possible in a busy holiday season.
  2. We cannot accept cancellations/offer refunds if the weather is not what you were hoping for. Unfortunately, this is something we have to accept in the UK. You can still have a fun day in your beach hut regardless of the weather. You have booked an outside activity, so will need to be prepared for inclement weather.

HOUSE RULES

  1. Please respect your chosen beach hut as if she were your own. We take great pride in our huts and take a lot of time and effort to keep them looking fresh and renovated with everything you need in each hut. We ask that if anything does get damaged – please do let us know. We need time to replace items for our next guests. We want you all to have the same experience with everything we’ve promised you. We can only do this with your support. We fully understand that accidents happen, but we reserve the right to charge for any major breakages or negligence incurred during your stay.
  2. All litter must be removed from the beach hut and surrounding site and disposed in the bins along the promenade, or taken home with you. Please remember to bring black bin bags with you.
  3. Please do not lose padlocks. Put somewhere safely on arrival. Loss of a padlock will need to be charged for, unfortunately.
  4. Please check your bags before heading home. We know this is not intentional, but we lose lots and lots of crockery and cutlery during the busy season, and all has to be replaced.
  5. The maximum number of guests is clearly stated on the website for each hut. This includes children. We cannot exceed this number and have the right to ask you to leave the beach hut if necessary. Even if other beach huts allow more guests, we are limited by our licence agreement and do not want the danger of our licence being taken away from us.

PETS

  1. Pets are not allowed under any circumstances. We have the right to ask you to leave your chosen hut if this is ignored and thank you for your co-operation.

SMOKING AND BBQS

  1. Smoking is NOT permitted in or outside the beach huts or on the decking area.
  2. We also absolutely forbid the use of barbeques in or around the beach huts and the decking area. The beach huts are wooden and are flammable.

NOISE AND DISTURBANCE

  1. Please be considerate of other neighbours, visitors in and around your beach hut. Everyone has come to the beach for a day of fun and enjoyment, but we need to be aware that we all like our space and peace during the day.
  2. Please do not play loud music. You may prefer to listen to the sound of the lapping waves. It can be very loud to your neighbours and very annoying if disturbing their peace and quiet.

LIABILITY

  1. We cannot be held responsible for loss of valuables. We also do not accept liability for any damage or injury to any member of your party, vehicles or contents unless proved to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves. For this we have public liability insurance in place.
